Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. founded on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York on December 4, 1906, Alpha Phi Alpha is the first and oldest collegiate Black Greek Lettered Organization founded in the United States.
From its humble beginnings on the Cornell campus the fraternity has been in the forefront of the battle for racial equality, a trailblazer in the fight for quality education, a spearheaded efforts to ensure the right to vote is unencumbered and a leader in supplying the talent needed to meet the needs of all citizens regardless of race, creed or color.
